Floors Prepped, Hearth Honed

Okay, I'm pretty sure our finish carpenter didn't use a hone to finish the hearth, but his powertools worked just as well. Our tile journeyman got all the floors upstairs prepped, and hopefully will be laying some tile tomorrow. Our cabinetmaker didn't quite show up as we'd hoped - but we'll keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Jeff,

I have to admit I visit this blog religiously. I think I'm a bit jealous of your good job and the fact that you are building a beautiful house you designed. Mostly, though, I am really, really happy that you guys are moving closer to normal life. We miss you a lot. We want to plan a summer cabin trip, with camping and backpacking. Let's talk soon.

Thanks John - good to hear from you! I was just thinking before your post about how nice it's been to be so very involved in the process. At times it has been a royal PAIN. But on days like today when I come home and find that good things have happened without my needing to attend to them it does give me a warm fuzzy feeling... kind of like one little tribble...
